Every starter zone is filled with Copper Ore , it doesn't really matter which one you choose. Night Elf players have to wait until they get to Darkshore before they can start leveling mining because Teldrassil doesn't have any Copper Ore. Don't forget to buy a Mining Pick from the Mining Supply vendor near your trainer!
You don't have to equip it, but you have to have one in your inventory. High level players should always enter the Venture Co.
Mine because you will get around 8 Copper Veins from clearing both the mine and the small area after the mine at the side the mountain. It can be a nightmare to find the exit the first time you are there so I included a small map. You won't see this map in-game , because it's from the Cataclysm expansion, but the layout is the same. Make sure to go to every corner of the cave!
The respawn rate is fast enough that you don't have to loop around the whole zone, so you can use these two routes. If you have competition, you should move between the two routes while mining copper between them. At 75 you can learn how to smelt Silver Ore, this will help you get your skill to Silver Ore and bars sell for rougly the same, buy the ore and sell the bars at the auction house. The respawn rate should be fast enough that you don't have to enter the cave marked on the map, but there is always two Tin Veins inside, so I think it's worth to go inside with high level characters.
The difference between the two is not that big. At you can learn how to smelt Gold Ore. Buy around 30 Gold Ore then smelt them, this should get you to around Same as with Silver Ores, buy them, smelt them and sell the bars at the Auction House.
There are 4 caves marked with red circles on the map, make sure to go all the way to the end of each cave because you won't see all the mining veins from the entrance. Low level players should skip all 4 caves, and low level Alliance players should take a detour and go south of Hammerfall! Don't forget to visit your Mining trainer and learn Artisan Mining when you reach ! You need to level up Mining to at least Ores in these zones: Mithril Ore , Truesilver Ore.
Was it useful then? I am sure it was I know it was for me and the money spent was in good faith plus it keeps updates coming. Are you asking Blizzard to refund you money spend on xpacs? Please send an email with any advice on how to fix my guide.
Make sure the Dugi addon is ticked in the addon menu of WoW and it should work. I have submit email many times over the last few days, but no email ever sent. Seeing what nodes all of the gems are on is super helpful.
Comment by assa5 Focus on gathering Thorium Vein from ? Nice, nice. But they available only from Comment by melasoma It's possible to obtain Azerothian Diamond from small deposits.
Comment by Kraagor55 If you're stuck mining tin, and can't seem to find enough silver nodes to get you over the "hump" to where you can mine and smelt iron, pick up the Search for Incendite quest, but do NOT turn it in!
Even though the quest will be gray for you, and you have more than enough incendite for the quest, you will still be able to go into the cave afterwards in the Wetlands and get points for mining it.
The cave is at Thelgen's Rock, to the left of the last tunnel in the Dun Algaz. A single run though the cave is often enough to bump you to points - at which you can train iron.
The spiders in the cave give good XP, too, even at lvl Comment by Drejjmit for small thorium, not Comment by jtsb It would be nice to have a list of outside forge locations, that are not in the faction hubs. For instance, there is one in the northern barrens by the harpies. That could be extremely useful information for farming expeditions.
Comment by Senix This guide needs some improvements, It is actually to mine small thorium, but is to smelt, you have both listed as Also there needs to be a distinction between Leveling, and leveling.
I would really think that if someone is following this guide they would be better off with a thorium portion devoted to small thorium, as after people do not need a leveling guide any more, more they need a rich thorium farming guide. I do not see any mention of using instance resets to farm any of these nodes. Also in the hinterlands you do not have the route taking players to the world boss location where there are several nodes, and is often easier to get as low players do not go into that area.
